Venturo’s Field Watch #2 is based on the elusive Rolex Oyster Army, Ref. 3139, that was issued in small numbers to the Allies during World War II, and for which production had stopped many decades ago.
Unlike the Rolex which had a diameter of 30mm, the Field Watch #2 has more wrist presence at 42mm. It is also more contemporary. With contrasting polished and finely brushed finishes, the robust 316L stainless steel case looks remarkable. It has a solid 316L stainless steel caseback and an easy-to-grip over-sized screw-lock crown etched with the Venturo logo. The water resistant rating is 200 metres or 20 atmos.
The scratch-resistant box shaped sapphire crystal is enhanced with an underside anti-reflective coating and protects the matte or sunburst colored dial. The dial markers glow intensely in the dark thanks to being filled with generous amounts of Swiss SuperLumiNova in a vintage color. And the steel hands are also filled with Swiss SuperLumiNova vintage color.
The Field Watch #2 is powered by the ultra-reliable Seiko NH35A automatic movement. This workhorse movement can handle the toughest of adventures.
Very comfortable matching leather and canvas straps are supplied with the watch in addition to a Venturo travel pouch.
The Venturo Field Watch #2 is a contemporary vintage styled watch which is easy to read and very distinctive. It is another exceptionally well-made timepiece from Gruppo Gamma and your perfect companion.
